The Company offers a mobile application; My Rinnai App (App), to allow you to remotely monitor and operate selected Company products from anywhere subject to having a working internet connection.

By using this product and associated App you consent to our use of your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Statement.

This policy does not override any obligations or rights established under the Privacy Act 2020.

• We collect only the personal data you give us (including your name, email address), through the App and the embedded software installed in the Company’s products, as well as through the services and content provided by the Company in relation to the App and software (collectively, including the App, the Services). We may also keep a record of any products and services that you receive from us.
  
  User location information may be collected when using the App or while it is running in the background (as required for specific App features).

3. How we use personal data

  • To enable you to use the Services and provide you with related customer service;
  • To provide you with updates to the App;
  • To respond to your inquiries and fulfil your requests, such as to create an account or send you newsletters.
    o To provide maintenance support for your product(s);
    o To send notices and administrative information to you, such as information regarding the Services and changes to our terms, conditions, and policies; and
  • For our business purposes, such as data analysis, audits, fraud monitoring and prevention, addressing issues with our Services, developing new products, enhancing, improving or modifying our Services, identifying usage trends and operating and expanding our business activities.

    o If we agree that your personal data is to be corrected, we will provide you with an amended record of your personal data.
